Welcome to the Editorial Policy for PityPeaks. This page explains the standards, ethics, and processes I follow to create every piece of content on this website.

My mission is to be the most trusted resource for anime and gacha game fans. In an industry full of clickbait and misinformation, my goal is to provide honest, accurate, and practical content based on real, hands-on experience.

My content is built on three core principles:

  1. Player-First: I am a player, just like you. My guides and reviews are written to help you, not to please developers or advertisers.

  2. Expertise-Driven: My opinions and guides are not guesses. They are the result of thousands of hours of endgame play, testing, and analysis.

  3. Transparency: I will always be clear about my processes and opinions. If I make a mistake, I will own it and fix it.

1. How I Write Guides (Builds, Farming, etc.)

My guides are the heart of PityPeaks. They are based entirely on personal, in-game experience.

  • Personal Testing: Every character build, team composition, and farming route is personally tested by me on my own endgame accounts (e.g., AR 60 in Genshin, max Trailblaze Level in Honkai: Star Rail).

  • Endgame Focus: My builds and strategies are designed to be effective in the hardest content (like the Spiral Abyss, Pure Fiction, etc.). I test what actually works, not just what looks good on paper.

  • Proof of Experience: I use my own in-game screenshots whenever possible. This is my direct proof to you that I am actively playing and testing what I write about.

  • Timeliness: I strive to update guides quickly when new patches, characters, or metas change the game.

2. My Tier List Methodology

Tier lists are subjective, but a good tier list is based on a clear and consistent set of rules.

  • My Opinion, My Expertise: All tier lists on PityPeaks are my personal opinion. This opinion is not random; it is formed from hundreds of hours of testing combinations in real endgame scenarios.

  • Clear Criteria: Each tier list will clearly state its purpose (e.g., “This list ranks characters for their performance in Spiral Abyss,” “This list is for new players,” etc.).

  • Not Influenced by Popularity: I rank characters based on their performance and utility, not just their popularity or how new they are.

3. My Review Process (Games & Anime)

My reviews are 100% my honest, critical opinion.

  • Game Reviews: I play games extensively before writing a review. I do not rush a review for launch day. I need to experience the core gameplay loops, the mid-game grind, and the (if applicable) endgame and monetization systems to give a complete opinion.

  • Anime Reviews: My anime reviews are written from a place of deep, personal experience with the medium. As I’ve noted on my author page, anime has been a significant part of my life. My reviews are my critical and personal analysis of a series, its themes, and its execution.

  • No Paid Reviews: I do not accept money, gifts, or any other compensation in exchange for a positive review. My opinions are not for sale.

4. News & Reporting

When reporting on news, accuracy and sourcing are my top priorities.

  • Source Vetting: I only report news from official developer announcements (e.g., livestreams, official social media accounts) or highly credible, verified sources.

  • No Clickbait: I will not engage in baseless rumors or clickbait headlines. I report what is known, and I clearly label any speculation as such.

5. Affiliate & Advertising Policy

PityPeaks is a personal project, and it requires resources to run. To help cover costs, I may use advertisements or affiliate links.

  • Affiliate Links: If you click an affiliate link (e.g., to an Amazon page or another store) and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

  • No Editorial Influence: My use of ads or affiliate links will never influence my review scores, guide content, or opinions. My editorial integrity will always come first.

6. Corrections Policy (My Commitment to Accuracy)

I am human, and I will make mistakes. When I do, I am committed to correcting them.

If you find a factual error in a guide (e.g., a material location is wrong, a build is outdated) or a news story, please contact me. I will verify the information and update the article as quickly as possible. I will add a correction note to the article to be transparent with my audience.

Thank you for trusting PityPeaks. I work hard to earn that trust with every article I publish.
